The Rivetto family have been making noble wine in the Langhe region for four generations. The current generation has added a focus on eco-compatibility and energy independence. No synthetic chemicals for weeds, insects or fertilisers are used. They also believe in the sowing of grassy plants and leguminous plants in order to revitalise and the soil and reduce soil compaction.
The family own various vineyard sites around the historic town of Alba which are planted with the famous Nebbiolo grapes that make both classic and modern styles of Barolo. The winery is located on top of the Lirano hills, 400 meters above sea level, on the border with the Barolo zone.
